Dan Brown - Da Vinci Code

The da Vinci Code

Dan Brown

One of the bestselling novels of all time.

The Italian born Leonardo da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) is remembered for his contribution to earth through many of his diverse talents. Depending on your interest, he was either an Italian polymath, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician, writer or painter.

Art historian Helen Gardner, says of Leonardo da Vinci "his mind and personality seem to us superhuman, the man himself mysterious and remote".

He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time. Leonardo da Vinci's most famous work is the "Mona Lisa" with "The Last Supper" being the most reproduced religious painting of all time.

It is within the world of Leonardo da Vinci's creations that author Dan Brown takes his readers on a wonderful journey of discovery through the eyes of his main character, symbolist Robert Langdon, as he seeks to unravel an astonishing truth which has been concealed for centuries.

To save the girl, and imbued with the need for urgency and whilst averting mortal danger at every turn, our hero Robert Langdon must sort through an ancient trail of riddles and clues which have been seemingly hidden in Leonardo da Vinci's works but yet they have just been ingeniously disguised by the master painter and have always been plainly visible for all to see.

Dan Brown's "The da Vinci Code" is also now available in a beautifully compiled full-color "Special Illustrated Edition" with all the artwork, symbols, architecture, and historic locations with over 160 images.
